DJ Kenny Allstar is fast becoming known as the U.K’s answer to DJ Khaled, his charismatic style, cult following and signature catchy introductions have seen him emerge as a sought after DJ personality.
His work covering underground radio (Radar FM) and now mainstream radio guesting on shows such as Capital Xtra on the DJ Charlsey (Disturbing London/Tinie Tempah DJ) show, and slots on Sian Anderson’s ‘SIANS STUDIO’ show on BBC Radio 1Xtra, have raised his profile dramatically.
Kenny has spent the year raising the roof on many significant club nights and festivals, including Love Box, Cream Fields, Fabric Live, No Mercy as well as international shows like Applesap Festival (Amsterdam), Merky Festival (Ibiza), Black n White Club (AiyaNappa), to name a few.
As well as DJing all over the country Kenny launched his ‘Mad about bars’ online music series showcasing some of the U.Ks most groundbreaking rappers, the show was launched in February 2015 and has since provided a launch pad for many underground acts, and has helped to propel several of them to the next level. The most notable success being MOBO award 2016 winner Abra cadabra who credits Kenny for heavily contributing to his meteoric rise.
The show is centered on Kenny introducing new exciting artists each week to come into the studio and rap over beats of their choice for around 5 mins.
The first series of ‘Mad about Bars’ notched up an incredible 3 million views + in under a year, and at present has racked up an incredible 22 million views.
Spotify capitalized on the success of the series by launching 5 episodes on their platform.
With plans to release his collaborative album titled ‘Block Diaries’ in early 2018, supported by a massive nationwide tour, the new year is set to be massive for the self proclaimed ‘Voice Of The Streets’.
