Louis Smith

Louis Smith MBE

Louis Smith has won medals at 3 separate Olympic Games, most recently a Silver Medal at the 2016 Rio Games. He shot to fame back in 2008 when he put British Gymnastics on the map by winning a Bronze Medal in the pommel horse at the Beijing Olympics.

After being a massive star at the London 2012 Olympics, Louis took part and won BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Since then there have been regular TV appearances for Louis and his profile has always been high in the media. Just recently he came 2nd in the Channel 4 show ‘The Jump’.

Louis will be returning to training shortly in an attempt to win a medal at his 4th Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
The back story of Louis is relatively unknown but fascinating. He grew up on a council estate in a single parent family, and life was tough. Despite that his mum drove everywhere in his pursuit of Olympic greatness.

Louis has made some mistakes in his career and suffered for it under the glare of the spotlight of the media. But has grown and learnt from it, and has a great story to tell.
